Daedra Stuff the Dawnguard and wandering party poopers

Post » Sun Oct 27, 2013 6:10 am

So I have some neat Daedra artifacts (made even more neat by a better artifacts mod) and since I've gotten them I've been worried about those random people running around outside of town who don't like Daedra, witches, werewolves or vampires.

I haven't run into any yet since I've gotten my neat new loot but I'm worried that when they demand my artifacts and I murder them it will close off joining the Dawnguard faction. Is this the case? I'd like to be a vampire slayer but I'm sure as heck not giving up my neat dead burning sword to do it.

Erm you don't have to hand over your artifacts to join the dawnguard.

The Dawnguard hunt vampires, not werewolves or Daedra worshipers.

The Vigilants hunt everybody connected to the Daedra.

Right, I know that but the Vigil of Stendarr demand you hand over your deadric artifacts and the Dawnguard was started by Vigil of Stendarr members according to the wiki. I wasn't sure if they were part of the same faction still or not.

Dawnguard was revived by Isran, who was a member of the Vigilants of Stendaar, but left because their methods were 'too soft'. Taking out Vigilants won't hurt your entry into the Dawnguard because they're different groups.

They did with me deadblood01 even regular non enchanted daedra stuff I made myself at a forge. I'm pretty sure it's not caused by any of my mods. I gave up my forge made daedric stuff to them without a fight earlier in the game but now that I have special artifacts they aren't getting them!

I'm sure its definitely caused by mods. Vigilants don't ask for your artifacts.

According to the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Vigil_of_Stendarr (under Conversations), it is a part of the vanilla game. That said, in hundreds of hours of play, I've never had them demand anything from me. Hell, I've often come upon them while I've had a summoned Daedra active, and they never go hostile or say anything but "ooh, that spell looks dangerous."

At any rate, it doesn't matter: what swk3000 said is true and you will not be denied entry into the Dawnguard no matter what your status with the Vigilants.

I just started Dawnguard for tth3 3rd time. Never got that dialog, would have been cool. Only Wolf wasn't going to give up Dawnbreaker.
