So, I've been plotting an idea for an RP that I thought would be nice but wonder how you all would feel. I won't take an active in-world role, instead I'd be taking on the form of the Narrator and other clues. It'd run on a mix of classic D&D types of ordeals. Some characters might die in combat, others by betrayal in the group. Here's a vague outline:
In the years after the Bomb, many tales of fabled treasure rise around various corners of what was once America. This tale follows the chase of a Raider King known as the King of Skulls. The King of Skulls was, according to legend, a Pre-War soldier, assigned to guarding an Old World armoury. Inside it were some of the most powerful Military technologies seen, but after the Bomb, he became ghoulified over time and used his knowledge of access codes to turn the armoury into his personal treasure vault. Some say they've seen where it rests, others have only heard scraps of the myth, some even doubt he existed. However, one tale persists, it would have the power to turn it's claimants....or claimant... into the most powerful man in the Wastes. Hoardes of weapons, ammunition, armour, gold bars, bottle caps, Pre-War currency, some even say a G.E.C.K. is in there....
But the hunt for myths and treasures seldom have happy endings. The road is full of struggles, violence and sometimes even betrayal from within. Only those who are willing to be the winner who takes all will win this deadly chase and it's a fight only the most cunning and enduring adventurers will have. The question is, are you willing to bet your life in this high stakes game? A game where the winner is set for life and the losers? Well, they are remembered only by time and the ashes of Pre-War America when it claims them.
My idea for the RP is it will take place in the ruins of Fort Knox, more specifically at the United States Bullion Depository, at the end, but it will be a journey starting off in Post-Broken Steel D.C. in Rivet City.
Any interested players? Also, the party will need a leader as my role will be more DM than actual partaking.
