Shout audio files inside .bsa don't work

Post » Sun Oct 27, 2013 8:22 pm

Hi all, again.

I think I've found yet another CK bug, I've added a new shout and his sound files, everything works as planned but if I use .bsa instead of loose files the sound does NOT play, I've tried a multitude of things:

OUTSIDE the .bsa (inside the normal sound folder)

-If I use .wav + .lip the sound works

-If I use .fuz the sound works

-If I use .xwm the sound works

In short, it works with every type.

INSIDE the .bsa

I do not get the sound at all, with any format, also, .xwm seems to CTD the game.

Question is, what should I do? Any ideas? Thanks.

It should work if the .bsa has the corresponding .esp active in the load order. You sure you have it ticked on?

Yes, the world is working, all npcs are there, their unique voices and everything, problem is the shout, I can't hear it!

Are you certain you've stuck it in the right folder directory inside the bsa?

I think I am, because I use the same file structure, also, other sounds work. Another strange thing is that if my users uncompress and use the files the sound works :(

This is really strange and frustrating :(

Thanks all for trying to help.

Fixed!

Solution is do NOT use archieve.exe to compress, use:
