I decided to reinstall this gem on my new gaming rig I built last year. My previous computer had Vista 7 64-bit and I didn't have any problems playing it then or getting the launcher to work. This time, however, in order to install the game, I had to open the disk under My Computer and manually start the installation. Past that, when I want to actually play the game, I must delve into the directory and skip the launcher.exe and go right to Oblivion.exe. I tried installing it into the base Program Files(x86) which didn't work so then I reinstalled it to a different location which still doesn't work. After that, I reinstalled it to a different SSD and the launcher STILL won't work.

I'm only reinstalling if I can get FCOM to work properly this time and if I cannot even sort out the launcher working, I don't have high hopes for any mods. Specs are in signature.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
