I'm trying to complete the liberation of Skyrim questline. Currently up to liberate Haafingar but everytime I go to the stormcloaks camp near solitude to start the mission, Alduin is flying about and kills me. I never even get a chance to start the quest because everyone is trying to fight Alduin.

Is this a glitch? I've googled it and no one else is having this problem.

Are you positive it's Alduin and not some other dragon? I've had plenty of dragon attacks near that camp, but have never had Alduin show up. If it is indeed Alduin, I'm going to say that you are experiencing a rare glitch.

Well, hes black and uses a weird move where my screen goes all blurry and yellow and when I attack, it does nothing, not even a health bar shows.

what platform are you playing on? PC, 360, or PS3?

Yeah this seems like it's a mod issue. Either a buggy mod, incorrect load order, or two or more conflicting mods. If it's not, you might want to send your file to someone who knows what they're doing and they can try to fix the issue on PC (but I doubt they'll be able to just explain it to you since they themselves won't know)

he must be using dragon overhaul mod that adds new dragon with extra shouts and power because you only encounter alduin 5 times in game

1st in helgen

2nd in kynesgrove

3rd in wilderness where he is reviving dragons from their burial mounds ( only after quest a a blade in the dark )

4th at throat of the world

5th finally in sovngard

Actually I did install the Inferno envoys of end quest mod recently which supposed to add a bunch of new powerful dragons with new moves and spells. I havent started the quest yet but wonder if it could be one of them showing up.

Will unistall it to see if its that.
