Perks for Followers

Post » Tue Oct 29, 2013 5:34 pm

I have been using Jordis as a follower. She is great in combat and doesn't initiate brawls, which I appreciate because I am a stealth archer, However, I feel that I am sometimes given away because she has no sneak skills. That said, I used the console to bump her sneak to 199 which is where mine is, as I am running an uncapper. I then gave her the perks for muffled movement, lightfoot and silence. Well, long story short she continues to be discovered and trips traps so I checked her stats and she shows a skill level of 199 but the perks return a "0".

I had been using Daenlit, the wood elf mercenary from Wyrmstooth for a while and we could both be in a room with hostiles and not be discovered. My character, "Muffin" is a wisp of a Breton girl and I really could use Jordis' beef backing me up in a fight.

Any thoughts?

Did you give her perks through the console or in the CK? I'm no expert in this area, but if you gave her the perks with the console, it might just have been a temporary change.

Simple, you want to be Stealthy, then tell your follower to wait outside.

There are some mods over at the Nexus to buff up your followers. Search for Stealth Follower and you will find some of them.

I had given her the skill as well and that stuck! I also saved as soon as I finished adding them so that they would embed in the saved game.

I did check as you suggested. There was one called Better Followers that claimed to cover all of the bases but when I loaded it, I was unable to find where to configure them. Only armor mods, which is not what I need, But thanks for the suggestion. I did spend a lot of time over the past couple of days looking for a config mod but couldn't find one so that was when I resorted to console commands.

A good observation but I have been using a MOD called "Thalmor Infiltration" and when you hit a bunch of them attacking a fort, there are usually 8 soldiers and 4 wizards, all leveled. Once the s**t hits the fan, you really want a tank at your back.

Use the CK to permanently add the perks. Remember to add the prerequisites in the skill tree as you go. She'll need at least 40 points in Sneak.

  • Stealth
  • Stealth 20
  • Stealth 40
  • Muffled Movement
  • Light Foot

Then you'll want to enchant her footwear with 'Muffle' as well.
