I've posted a similar thread in the Creation Kit forum section, but since fewer people are active there, and since this is after all a mod request, I figured I could post this here too.
Some kind people over at the Creation Kit forum have helped make a script that allows you to have separate fNearDistance settings for interiors and exteriors. A higher fNearDistance number significantly decreases z-fighting (mountain flicker), but it also causes clipping issues with any objects extremely close to the player. Since the player is most likely to bump into walls and such in interiors (like dungeons), and since you don't have any need for a decreased z-fighting in interiors, I figured this could be a good idea.
So, basically, this is what I request: a mod that automatically changes your fNearDistance .ini setting 15.0000 (default) when you're in interiors, but lets you have another fNearDistance setting (for instance 23.0000) while in exteriors.
A script has already been created to do this in the Creation Kit forum, but there is some bugs in it that prevents it from working correctly. It would be great if anyone who knows about scripting could help make this mod come true.
