Orc warrior play through, tips please.

Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to Oblivion and have only been playing for about 6 weeks now. My current character is a Breton spellsword at level 24 who has completed the Arena questline, arcane university, thieves guild, KOTN and various side quests. I have moved over from Skyrim which I played endlessly from it's release and have to say that I am really enjoying all that Oblivion has to offer.

I'm thinking of now retiring my current character and going with an Orc warrior, 1 and 2 handed with heavy armour and magic wise only restoration. I have never played an Orc or a complete warrior in Skyrim and fancy the challenge of it.

Is there anything you more experienced Oblivion players can suggest that would make this play through really enjoyable and challenging for me? Thanks in advance.

Stock up on poisons and repair hammers. You're going to need them.

I'd suggest just choosing one or the other for weapon types. One and two handed categories don't exist in Oblivion, just Blade and Blunt, and money is like rain so you can just train the weapon style you're not using. You can get a very nice mace in one of early quests in the Imperial City, so you might want to go the blunt path.

Blade weapons include Goldbrand, the Ebony Blade and Umbra later on.

Blunts include the Mace of Molag Bal and Rockshatter.
