Hey all,
So i know the flickering lights issue is caused by an object having too many lights on it but isn't there any way to get around to this?
I have a really big cavern Ala Blackreach with scaled up objects, glowing mushrooms and such but thanks to this issue i can't get the lightning placed properly with the bio-luminescent plants, etc and i refuse to use the cheap ambient lightning trick Beth always uses because ambient lightning in my opinion looks like , well let's keep it polite, unrealistic. Light coming from nowhere... As if that wouldn't break immersion. This issue really ruins almost my whole mod since the main focus is the giant cavern but now that it has disco lights flickering all over the place it doesn't really look as epic as should be.
Shouldn't issues like this make Beth realize their engine is severly outdated? An object having more then 3 lights hitting it, well that shouldn't be a problem i would say. But no. Of course this is for some reason a problem for the CK. Why? Is lightning such a big tax to render or something? Why couldn't they just increase the amount of lights hitting an object by 10. That way there shouldn't be any problems. I remember Oblivion didn't have this issue. But on the other hand Oblivion was a finished product. Well at least more so then Skyrim.
