I want the vampire castle...

Post » Sat Nov 02, 2013 2:14 pm

... Castle Volkihar in one piece nice and neat no dead vamp employees. I'm xbox (no mods). I've completed the line in favor of Dawnguard on another char (not that I remember as my sanity died in the Soul Cairn). I don't want Lord Harkon's blown up ego anywhere near me. I don't want to slaughter any vamps except Harkon. Even tho I have no idea how to play a skyrim vamp - I'll try my best. I just want the bloody castle already!

How do I get?

Do you mean you want to play as a vampire, or that you want a way to kill Harkon as a Dawnguard without killing anyone else?

Or, do you wanna own the castle like Use it as your home/base of operations? I don't think u can do that... If you cleared the castle then just wait for days for the dead bodies to disappear and hope the regular vamps don't respawn.

Oh. I thought that if you became a vampire you could become the big cheese at Castle Volkihar. Must be me that misunderstood peeps on these forums. I want the castle and all the servants in it. Just that. I don't care what I have to do to get it. I want to replace Harkon. If you can't get the castle then what's the point of being a vampire??

The castle is still owned by Harkon (or someone) after you complete the questline. For example, if you go back, anything you pick up counts as stealing.

I don't want to complete the quest line. I want to become a vampire and kill Harkon and TAKE HIS C A S T L E and servants.

You can do what you want on PC with mods or with modding your game. I don't think it is possible to do it on 360.

I C

Maybe I should just go back to playing sims. There I could own as many castles as I wanted. Not as realistic looking as Skyrim but sacrifices.

at the end of the Volkihar questline you kill Harkon, and then you basically own the keep (you can even pay to have the path to the courtyard repaired and go tell Serenas mother "its okay to return now")

While Orthjolf and Vingalmo never had much respect for Harkon to begin with, and aren't likely to show you any more, you are the de facto owner of Castle Volkihar if you play the vampire side of Dawnguard, and have access to all the containers, coffins, weapon racks, etc. These are not owned once you are sufficiently advanced within the court.

The caveat is that you must remain a vampire to have access to any of the services the castle provides.

Yeah, you can get the Castle if you complete the quest on the vampire side.

This is on Xbox.
