Entering Shadowgreen Forest.
Entering Shadowgreen Forest.
I haven't stopped saying "Wow" Sir.
At all the big and little moments I am still discovering.
I pretty much said "wow" when I first saw the trailer.
Entering Dark Fall cave and seeing all the creepy lighting which befits its even creepier denizens.
Having a bar maid compliment my male character on his looks.
Seeing how well things are integrated into the world from the DLCs as if they were part of the original landscape of SKYRIM. Coming across a vampire in the wilds with its four footed friends or coming across some child's toy is always a great surprise.
Seeing the snow being blown across the windswept plains.
Seeing abandoned wrecks on the sea coast.
Coming across the eerie frost wraiths with their snakey winding bodies.
Seeing wooly mammoths and giants without being attacked by them.
All the vegetation along with the barren areas.
Seeing the ruins of forts and the foreboding wreckage of homes once occupied by npcs.
The journals and notes I come across on my travels. Many a time I wished there was a non-combat way to resolve a situation with a bandit after reading a letter from their family member. Would have been cool to be able to show some mercy in combat and possibly having them become a friend.
Seeing the night sky with all its moons and planets like something out of a old issue of STAR LOG Magazine from the 1970s.
Seeing children in all their bullying and wimpy varieties. Oh and also that very angry perhaps evil.. one.
My first "WoW" moment was fighting bandits for the first time on the bridge that connects the two Valtheim towers. I still remember standing on that bridge for the first time, high above the river, fighting off bandits. It felt like a scene from a movie. One of the bandits died and went over the edge. He plummeted way, way, down, into the water below. It was all so dramatic.
That remains one of my most vivid Elder Scrolls memories from the past decade. For me it's right up there with seeing Seyda Neen from the ship deck for the first time and seeing my first Oblivion realm.
