I was another victim of the black screen of death today.

It started with me having to go through several attempts that would take at least 30 minutes in order to start a session. Quite the torture but what mattered was that I still got to play the game after all that.

The *press the power button until you hear two beeps* method just wouldn't work for me. That's how it's been for the last three days.

Tonight, as soon as I turned on my PS3, I got the message "The system software cannot be run correctly".

After some minutes of going crazy and trying to figure out what to do, the system automatically started trying to format itself.

"Your database will now be rebuilt". I knew what that meant but it was impossible to leave that screen. I tried to, but I had no choice but to click "ok".

All save files are gone. Three years of gaming just went down the drain. I still don't know how I'm going to handle this, probably with a sharp object.
