Fatigue?

Post » Sat Nov 02, 2013 6:28 am

So I discovered that the autodocs in Dead Money not only heal limb damage, but can also give adrenaline to relieve fatigue.

Looked up fatigue on the wiki, and still not fully getting it. Is fatigue what the sleep meter is measuring? If not, how do you know what your fatigue level is?

Also is fatigue a hardcoe feature, or is it always present? And what else besides DM autodocs would reduce it?

Last time I tried Dead Money, the Auto Doc only reduced my sleep level once. Any other time I tried it, it never worked.

If you are playing using hardcoe Mode then yes, fatigue is sleep deprivation.

Anything with caffeine also reduces it. But the trade off is increase in dehydration.

Edit: and sleep, I didn't include when I made the post because I thought that would be obvious lol.

I'm pretty sure nothing but certain consumables, I do remember that your sleep meter is basically stopped at the beginning, but if you try to change it it starts back up.

It is at the start of every DLC. If you sleep in a bed it also starts up again. I like to do it at the police station, makes Dead Money more interesting

Thanks for the rapid responses.

What is all that in the wiki about fatigue dropping to (-30), recovering one per second, and then regaining consciousness?

Never have let my sleep meter get very high, thought you just died if you went too long without sleep.

I thought fatigue had to do with knock outs because NPCs have fatigue too.

Yeah, there's some unshown mechanic there. Bean Bag ammo and boxing gloves and tapes do fatigue damage after all.

That's what I mean. It almost seems like there are two different mechanics, both named "fatigue".
