Ratio of PCXboxPS3 players

Post » Mon Nov 04, 2013 8:35 am

I read something on wikipedia I found surprising:

As of July 2012, an estimated 10 million copies have been sold; of those sales, 59% were for the Xbox 360, 27% for the PS3, and 14% for the PC.

Really, only 14% of players are on PC? This statistic feels out of left field to me. Does anyone have a more accurate source for this info?

don't believe everything you read off of wikipedia, as anyone can edit it and fill it with pure BS..

I remember back in 2010 someone edited the page on WWII to say "the war eventually came to an end when Chuck Norris gave Hitler a roundhouse kick into the southern pacific ocean".. and it remained there for almost 4 months...

Moral of the story, take Everything on wikipedia with a grain of salt.. or in some cases, the entire salt shaker...

That is not very accurate. The last I had seen was closer to..

Xbox - 50%

PC - 33%

PS3 - 17%

I'd imagine most of it is on Xbox 360 and PC, but as others have said, statistics are a funny thing.

Steam doesn't release their sales figures. PS3 players make the lowest of the population count.

That's what really surprised me from that statistic, the tiny amount of PC players and the fact that there were supposedly twice as many PS3 players.
