Determine cell name in a mod?

I'm playing a mod, and I'd like to be able to jump out (back to Whiterun) to sell stuff and re-supply, and then jump back to the same location, or at least close.

Is there a way to find the cell code, in the mod, that will work with the COC console comand?

You should ask this to the modder, he/she'll be able to tell you the id of the cell.

In that case, open the mod in the CK, find something that belongs to it, an NPC for example (in Actors in the left column). Right click on this npc and then on "use info". In the pop up window, you'll find his/her location which will be the name of the cell you're looking for.

LadyontheMoon: sounds fairly complicated, since I've never used the CK (or is that the G.E.C.K.??), but maybe I'll give it a try. Another issue is that my pc is hooked up to the big screen, where text is .....not easy to read

Chaka ZG: Mark and Recall would be good, EXCEPT that I have already left the mod cell and did a coc to Whiterun. WIsh I had known about that earlier :sad: !!

I just thought of a way to do the same thing by leaving my follower there, then doing a player.moveto to go back

But still have the problem that I have long ago left the cell (but I do have an OLD save that I can load to check cell name if it is possible)

You should be careful doing this, because if the cell is purposely isolated during a quest, on occasion it's possible to break the quest by leaving the cell without completing it. Most mod authors will warn you about this possibility if it exists, but not always.

Edit: This would even be the case with Mark and Recall spells, not only actively using the console COC commands.

to the moderator who moved this thread from General to Skyrim Mods: I realize I used the word "mod" in my post, but the idea was that hopefully someone with greater knowledge of the Console Commands would have a solution.

ladyonthemoon's solution of using the CK is not one I look forward to, having never used the CK.

It may have made some sense to move it to the PC section, but I don't think it makes much sense to move it to the Mods forum

Yeah, I saw that in researching the Mark and Recall spell mods (there's a few of them). But since I am already out of the mod area, I can only try, assuming I can find a way back. Worst case, I un-install the mod, then re-install and start over. That would REALLY svck though, since it was a very long and VERY hard fight to get as far along as I was in the mod

mod is named "Markarth Undercity" http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=20544

I'm in the area "Undercity Streets", there is an npc named "Captain Rolond" and another named "Sheyla"

thnx for any help, although I still may play around with the CK - I wanted to use my laptop to do that, but I don't have Skyrim or Steam installed on it, so only my PC/big screen will do

I don't understand, you can acces the cell via Markarth, why do you want to coc into it? Just use fast travel to Markarth, then the warrens etc.
