Are There Achievements You Will Probably Never Get?

Post » Tue Nov 05, 2013 5:14 pm

I was looking at my "achievements" and saw some that I will probably never get. Among them:

- Hail Sithis!

- Thief (I am not a pickpocketer.)

- Wanted (Though I may get caught, just to see what it is like.)

- Master Criminal

- Soul Tear (I have no desire to summon the Dawnguard Dragon on Tamriel.)

- Auriel's Bow (I thought I have used it's power, but apparently, you have to darken the sun for this one. Am I mistaken here?)

- Werewolf Mastered (Really no desire to be a werewolf.)

- Vampire Mastered (Really no desire to be a Vampire.)

- A New You (Though I may change my face, just to get this one...)

Any achievements you may never get?

I have all achievements for Skyrim.

The last time I got an achievement was the day before my 18th birthday. It was also the only one I needed. The achievement was Vampire Mastered.

Same. Three of which require tedious work, one of which is by ridiculous luck for which I do not have time for, especially since you must be a significant level.

The Legendary Dragons may be another one. I keep hoping, but hardly any of my characters get that high up before retiring :)

I can't get them all because some of the questlines/requirements are glitched in my game so its impossible, thanks Bethesda, targets are supposed to be achievable not mythical.

At least half the ones in the OP, probably a bunch more I don't even know about, and Oblivion Walker. I don't think I'll ever be able to bring myself to RP a cannibal AND kill Erandur...

Just kidding, I know they are there, but I have not looked to see if what achievements I have gotten.

A lot of the same ones as OP:

1. Werewolf Mastered

2. Vampire Mastered

3. Master Criminal - this one doesn't make sense to me because shouldn't master criminals do their thing without getting caught?

4. Legendary Dragon - I am currently working on getting a character to a high enough level

You could make a Bosmer for the cannibal thing. also kill Erandur then load a save from before killing him.

Just no interest for me at all.

I will have problems getting the Steam Achievements since Steam is very flaky for me in regards to steam keeping track of login time and such. Since my Internet connection is not that great.

It still only shows 47 hours and the last time I played was the 22 of October. I played at least 1 hour today and about 6 hours last night. And I have 9 Achievements.

[edit]

I do not really care for all that as long as I can play the game that is the only achievement that I care about.

Mostly the same ones as the OP:

Wanted and Master Criminal: getting caught repeatedly is not my idea of how to RP a criminal.

Oblivion Walker: will never happen on one character; several of these I just have no desire to do on any character.

Werewolf/Vampire Mastered: not interested in putting in the time/perks as a werewolf/vampire to get these. Not that I haven't played as each, but not to that extent.

Legend: I usually tire of characters long before I reach the level to come across Legendary Dragons. Plus, I seldom advance the MQ far enough to see any dragons at all. (The MQ is the least interesting part of the game, for me.)

Basically, all of the achievements I have gotten were just through roleplaying characters that interested me, and not through any great effort on my part, and the achievements above that I'd never get would all call for effort from me.

I don't have Dragonborn (yet), so I'm not sure how I'd do on those achievements.

Edit: Oh, yeah: Master Architect--I limit each character to one HF property, mainly because I cannot be arsed to gather enough materials to build all three!

I knew about them, but awhile back, I found the http://steamcommunity.com/stats/TheElderScrollsVSkyrim/achievements and was amazed that less than 90% of all players had finished "Unbound." They did not even make it out of Helgen one time! That's a lot of players :)

I think it might show up for me but I do not know.

Maybe some of them are playing with a mod that alters the start. Or many of them have issues with Steam keeping track of achievements just like me.

That means nothing. A great many players play offline. I myself play offline. I've played 2,500 hours, but Steam thinks I have played about 45 minutes and have earned 2 Achievements.

  • Oblivion Walker. Icky icky icky daedra. Icky.
  • The completion quest for the Thieves Guild. No soul-selling for me.
  • The completion quest for the Dark Brotherhood. I like the characters, but not the questline.
  • Any Dawnguard achievement, since I don't have Dawnguard.

Any achievement that has to do with being a vampire. I tried being a vampire on a different playthrough. It was pretty fun, but the eyes kinda ruined it for me. I googled vampirism in Skyrim and people had said many bad things about it. That people would attack you constantly and only way to prevent this from happening is feeding on people, which was said to be tedious.

If you have Dawnguard, this is no longer true. You'll only be attacked if you transform into a Vampire Lord in front of people.

Probably lots of them. I don't really know what they are. Anything to do with vampires/werewolves, for sure. The Oblivion Walker one. Anything remotely concerned with restoring the DB.
