What's the REAL intentions of the Thalmore

What do you think is the real intentions of the thalmore, splitting it into long - term and short - term aims (And if those aims have been completed yet). There has been a lot of talk about "towers" but I have to admit im as yet perplexed about this - Why do the thalmore need the towers across tamriel? Is it a literal interpretation, and how do they "deactivate them". Finally, why do they need them?

From the Impression I got, the Thalmore wanted to end existence because they think they belong in the hall of the gods or something vague like that, and they hate Talos because they don't believe he ascended to divinity.

Alright, but how do you "end" creation - This perplexes me a lot, how can you literally "end" it - And do they mean this as very literal or more as a just metaphorical expression of wiping out the "inferior races" i.e. genocide.

I suppose needing the towers makes sense, because I always wondered why they had to defeat th empire before they could "end" creation. Didn't seem necessary but if they need all the towers im beginning to get the picture.

Personally, I never believed that they truly intended to bring about the end of the world. I think they are just using it as a screen for an excuse to invade and expand their territory. I think they want to rule an empire across all Tamriel, perhaps even nirn, but not to end it. Now, where would be the fun in that? Im sure they would carve out a dark empire, one where humans had either largely been wiped out and the rest would either be out in the wild as outlaws or in slavery, similar to how the Ayelids treated Imperials. Altmer would be given superior citizenship, although all elven races (Possible exception of dunmer) would be given an elvated status. Humans would be little better than cattle and slaves. The beastfolk, because of their help in the dominions rise, would probably be given a higher status than humans, but judging by the way they are treated in Skyrim by the Thalmor, its my guess they wouldn't receive similar levels to the elven races.

Talos worship would be banned, with only strict Altmer cultural and religious practises being permitted. Any uprisings would be swiftly crushed and the empire would be run by a totalitarian party (Thalmore) rather than a family or single figurehead. There would be widespread purges of human literature and culture, in an attempt to degrade them even further.

Short - term aims:

  1. Defeating or separating the Imperial Empire is the priority, since it is the main opponent to expansion on the continent.
  2. Defeating Cyrodiil and expanding across the rich heartland area, "de - humanising" the Imperial city, white - gold tower returned to status as religious centre
  3. Destroying Hammerfell, bolster naval strength in Illiac bay region

Long - term aims:

  1. Cause a war between Morrowind and Black Marsh to weaken them
  2. Cause disunity amongst the High Rock Kingdoms
  3. Cause unrest in Skyrim
  4. Gradually expand across High Rock before pushing in a full - on assault of Skyrim. Large purges to maintain order
  5. Depending on outcome of war, either attack Black Marsh or Morrowind (Whoever is strongest)
  6. Finally bring any last territories under administration
  7. Wide spread purges on a large scale, enslavement of human races (Province by Province to prevent uprising)
  8. Ban dunmer religion, wipe out the temple
  9. Ban worship of the hist - RESERCH IS NEEDED BEFORE ACTION IS TAKEN
  10. Ban all counties beside Alinor from having a navy
  11. Now remove "star status" of dominion nations - Valenwood, Elsweyr
  12. Degrade treatment of the Khajiit an Bosmer, no longer relevant to give special treatment
  13. Possible invasion of Thras?

I could be wrong - But who knows what plans they have

(Also, if you could, can you list all the towers and their locations, could help to predict where they strike next...)

Well some believe the ultimate goal is to undo creation and return Elvenkind to where they think they came from, Aetherius. But some believe they simply want to be the dominant race of Tamriel, displacing the Imperials.

I doubt they'd need to cause disunity in High Rock and unrest in Skyrim. That's kinda their thing. :lmao:

Those who live as long as the Altmer seldom forget. Remember, the Altmer are a very proud people who think they are superior to the other races, especially Mankind. And to think, a lowly human ruling over the Elves? They obviously would hate the Empire with a passion.

They would probably never poorly treat the Bosmer and Khajiit, seeing as the Altmer would use these two races to act as policemen throughout their empire. Better them getting their hands dirty than the high-borns, right?

Also, it's Thalmor, not Thalmore! :P
