Just curious, why can't i have a better look iron helmet and armor

Like here:

I feel like making a true dragonborn build so it makes me sad that this iron helmet and gauntlets don't looks as good as the promotional dragonborn

A true dragonborn would depend on his/her look? We have a say, "l'habit ne fait pas le moine" which could be translated "clothes don't make the man". ;)

Well, they were pretty ugly to begin with, so you shouldn't feel too bad.

I see no build in the OP or asking for help with a build but the title says "build"

I think what he's saying is that he's disappointed he can't use the helm and armor in the pictures for his build.

This may be rather obvious, but it's a very common marketing tactic in advertising (promotions) to make something look better than it is in reality. Think about those food commercials you see on TV. Does the food actually look as good when you cook it (or order it at a restaurant)? In most cases, no.

yes the title does say build. This is a thread about making a true dragonborn build, hence the title of the thread.

What do you consider a "true" Dragonborn build to be?

Most likely the Snow Chimps' ideal Dragonborn (Promokiin), judging by what the OP asked.

Or take a look at those before/after vids that circulate on Facebook and see the difference between a real woman and the photoshopped - thing you see in ads...

I would have liked to have had those colored variants of the iron set.

In England, we have a saying, too. "England is better than France!" ;)

Seriously though, I think OP's interested in the aesthetics. (Thank you auto carrot, couldn't spell that) The image of the Dragonborn Bethesda showed us is the 'canon' Dragonborn, like how the 'canon' Champion of Cyrodiil is depicted as an Imperial in Imperial Legion Armour, while obviously he/she's whatever we want.

There'll be mods for enhancing the graphics or offering a slight re-skin, no doubt. But until I jump to PC, vanilla will have to do. :P

what colored variants? All I see is the iron helmet, studded armor, irgont gauntlets, and iron boots.

However, in the top picture the iron helmet has more of a steel color to it though

That's what I meant, I would rather have those silver/steel color than the uglish dark color the gauntlets, boots, and helmet have.

I think the vanilla color is fine, I just think Skyrim needed more reflective metal. Good god all the weapons and armor would've looked better if the metal was somewhat reflective.
