I always fight in 3rd person as I want to see what my PC is actually doing during combat. But the vanilla camera angle is almost crippling to use. Why does this copy keep making these type of irational designs that always make things worse for the players? Is there a mod or file adjustment that can correct this? thanks

There are a few camera mods over at the Nexus. Some center the camera, some allow it to fly better, do a search over there for "Camera" and you will find them.

Until you get your launcher issue resolved, I would not be throwing more mods at your game
