I have been playing for a few months- but restarted as an Orc because I couldn't shake my Nord of her raging case of the vamp. Anyway, now I am a level 30 Orc warrior almost maxed in one handed weapon and heavy armor. Don't use magic, maybe I should but I play on the PS3 and the only buttons I use are for my weapon and restoration healing-- and shout. I never seem to be able to transition into using various shouts or spells because it's takes a lot time (lagggg) to pull up my favorite menu- lose my weapon and cast a newbie fireball. All I do is pound and restore and I feel like I am missing out on true pwnage and combat using my mace. So what should i do? Can i assign more buttons to my ps3 or should I be using favorites menu in combat? I am at a loss and I keep leveling up without really progressing as a player. Any help, guys? Thanks!

Use your favorites menu. Press Triangle on your potions, spells, and weapons you use. You can have two quick keys. If you hold either left or right on the D Pad, you can just press them and it will instantly pop up.

Have you disabled the menu saves? You should if you haven't.

But are you a level thirty idiot? That's an accomplishment! I consider myself to be a very high level idiot, but I work hard at it.

menu saves? you mean the auto save? When I played on the PS3 I set that to every 5 mins.

But yeah I would strongly recommend using the favorite menu. Things do seem more streamlined that way.

But IMO orcs are big smashing green wrecking machines. They don't need magic.

The auto saves the activate when you bring up the menu.

When I had it on in a day long forgotten, it would always freeze my game for at least 20 minutes. It took forever.

maybe a 1-2 min freeze for me. But I also had 5-10min load times from cell to cell
