Dragonguard, The Blades, The Lore

Alright, I have a question pertaining to the Dragonguard and the Blades.

I know from what I've read in the Lore sections of the TES Wiki website and the UESP website that the Blades pretty much originated from the original Dragonguard. I also know that the Dragonguard was mostly composed of the Akaviri Tsaesci, and that they were prevalent during the Reman Dynasty up until the end of the First Era.

Now, my question is, after the end of the First Era and abandoning the Second Empire, when does the Dragonguard begin being called the Blades? Are they called the Blades by the beginning of the Second Era, during the time of the reign of the Akaviri Potentate? Or are they called the Blades by the time Tiber Septim shows up in history?

I'm asking all of this because WHEN exactly the Dragonguard switches to the name Blades is vague, and I want to make sure that I have my lore down correctly so that my fan fiction fits in with established and canon TES lore. Anybody know when specifically they begin calling themselves the Blades?

In the centuries following the end of the Reman Dynasty, the Dragonguard's numbers dwindled, although a few continued to try to protect Cyrodiil from threats during the Interregnum. Over 800 years later, Tiber Septim decided that he needed a group of operatives - answerable only to him - to handle certain special "projects". He found the few Dragonguard that remained and enlisted their aid to create a successor organization: The Imperial Blades. Their first assignment was to find the location of Numidium in order to conquer the Summerset Isles and bring all of Tamriel into the Empire.
