Is a 'joker build' strong enough for master difficulty?

Post » Wed Nov 13, 2013 12:25 am

Hello guys! This is my first post here so I'm looking for some advice on my 'Joker Build', which I called because resembles The Joker of Batman-The Dark Knight movie.

My strat is to damage enemies with dual wield weapons (daggers), use armorless but skillful armor on sneaking and stabbing. (see spoiler if you want it) and alteration magic to protect myself, the question is, will that be enough to dragons bites? I'm a Dunmer because I liked the skillset and +50% resist fire bonus. If someone knows where the max armor cap stops would be so nice to tell me =P

Mystuff:

Spoiler
Cicero's Boots (muffled movement)
Cicero's Clothes (+20% one-handed, 20% better prices)
Cicero's Hat (+35% sneaking)

Cicero's bracelets (2x damage for 1-handed stealth attacks)

Weapons:
Blade of Woe and Mehrunes Dagon dagger ( idk what the name is)

Amulet and rings:
I don't know if I will have enough perks for enchanting so idk if I enchant some to get more magicka or low alteration costs.

I'm going to get perks from: Sneaking, One-handed, Alteration, Destruction (maybe?), blacksmith(daedric) and some of potions if I got enough.

What shadow said....that alteration armor will not be good protection against dragon melee attacks unless you have a huge health pool

I was thinking about turning into a vampire since I'm getting perks from alteration that negates magical dmg and I already got an inborn +50% to fire...And because of its illusion and conjuring daily spells which have no perks required to protect me and get the

Spoiler
Dark Brotherhood summon
to use as meat to the dragon as I stab him.

But I don't know something: if I turn into a vampire I wouldn't be able to trade, sell things on market (cities)??

And oh yes, I'm getting a lot of health since backstabs don't require much stamina most of the time.

I would recommend mastering Illusion and Conjuration over Alteration. Be a vampire, and get Necromage. Max out Enchanting and get yourself 100% reduction in Illusion and Conjuration. You will never have to bloody your hands ever again (Unless you want to, of course). But you will be a scrawny pup, and that's where the Sneak/Vampirism/Necromage comes in. Spam Invisibility and you will literally disappear out of thin air to all enemies.

In later level, max out Pickpocket and Alchemy for fun. You will be moving in invisibled, reverse-pickpock to poison your enemies. Then you can strip entire cities of their clothes and weapons and cast Mayhem.

...Husbands will betray their wives... soldiers will betray their kings... Cities will burn down and Mammoths will run into towns!!...

And thus all is right with the world...

Oh and don't worry about dragons or combat. Your Bound Bow is akin to a Daedric Bow with 100 Conjuration, 100 Archery and perks. With 100 Sneak with all perks, with Invisibility as you can Sneak attack in broad daylight.

Also: ONE maybe, but no dragon has yet stood against TWO conjured Dremoras in combat.

Even if you have a summoned minion, you have to be careful. If it dies suddenly or if the dragon randomly attacks you(this has happened to me), you might end up getting 1 shotted

In that case, Alteration could work, but keep in mind that on Master and Legendary, Ebony Flesh won't work well against Bandit Marauders/Bandit Chiefs, Ancient Dragons above and high level foes like Falmers and Chauruses. It would take casting Dragonhide to get that 80% temporary cap. And Dragonhide is a Master-alteration, which would require you to stand still for several seconds. So keep that in mind if you want to take the melee route.

For high level foes like that, I say take up Archery as well. The Joker does use guns. He's also a chemist, so maybe take up Alchemy as well? Your Joker Venom can be a poison of Paralyze/Ravage health, where the victim would lies motionless and receive damage.

I'm playing with only Skyrim for note, without Dragonborn, Dawnguard etc just the original game.

Yes thought about getting some really good poisons and chauruses are a pain in my heart they're so damn strong!!!!

I'd recommend the following skills:

Primary: Sneaking, One-Handed, Alchemy, Destruction (Particularly Runes, to act as mines, distance spells to serve as bombs)

Secondary: Archery, Illusion, Smithing

Archery and Illusion should be used to either transmit your poison (archery) at a distance, or to act as a Joker Venom bomb and filling your opponents with either Fear or Fury.

As for perks, http://chrizel.github.io/skyrim/#t/0/27v9m8,8t9erk,0,bds,-zik0zk,l9uko,4zg1s,0 is the set that I envisioned.

try Mehrunes Razor as one of your daggers, it has a chance to kill an enemy in one hit
