Help! PC won't read game disk!

Post » Thu Nov 14, 2013 7:24 am

Earlier this year I bought the Fallout 3 & Oblivion double pack and installed fallout 3. It played just fine. I then uninstalled it to make room on my pc.

Now when I put the disk in the drive, my pc acts like there is no disk. It plays any other disk (including the Oblivion disk that came with it) perfectly and I've already replaced the game disk a couple of times to no avail. (My local walmart is sick of seeing me.)

From what I've read online this could be a problem with securom. But I don't (and never have) had any sort of emulation software on my computer.

What the heck is going on? I really don't want to have to give up on this game.

Can you not even explore the disk?

After un-installation ... remove the Bethesda softworks folder , and go into documents/mygames and remove the fallout 3 folder ...

Then threaten your computer with extreme prejudice if it doesn't work this time ... put the disk in the disk drive

Explore the disk, use the Setup.exe on there.
