What if Ayem fought Vehk?

Say Almalexia succeeded in killing the Nerevarine and went after Vivec or if she decided to go after him while the Nerevarine was busy getting lost in the Clockwork City, who do you think would win?

My drakes are on Vivec giving that mad harlet the milk finger.

Vivec is sort of out of her scope all in all, as the Nerevarine is the one foretold to club the Tribunal to death. In actuality, I figure that she would actually try and consolidate her power further by removing anyone that would vaguely look at her funny as she continued to spiral out of control. She'd probably wind up dead by a angry populace tired of putting up with her increasing insanity, albeit it would take a few centuries unless she really goes off the deep end. It'd be poetic, if nothing else.

A better question would be how would the Tribunal deal with losing their godhood if they weren't doomed to die. Seht probably would continue to be a recluse at the end of the day.

Assuming she managed to kill him, it wouldn't matter much I think. Vivec talks about having been dead before and, IIRC, is like a dream he can chose to wake up from and that little time has passed on Nirn when he does.

I think at this point in their decline Alma could have succeeded in killing Vehk. Not due to any great power of hers, but because Vivec was more or less resigned to death, whereas Alma had crazy on her side. She was consolidating all the power she had left and had the spirit to fight, Vivec not so much.

"That is very sad. I presume she killed Sotha Sil. I thought she might harm me. And I presume she tried to kill you, Nerevarine. It is all very sad."--Vivec

That was while they were gods. At the end of Morrowind/Mournhold, they are mortal.

I think I remember some dialogue after Trbunal expansion is complete such that Vivec says she would have eventually came after him. My money would be on Vivec, since he pretty much expected his "loss" of divinity and came to terms with it. Almalexia was driven mad and would have been clouded in judgement against the Warrior-Poet.

Not at that point, or if he did then CHIM doesn't make you immortal/invulnerable (which wouldn't surprise me, honestly):

"But death comes to all mortals -- and we are all mortal now. In time, death will come to me, Nerevarine -- perhaps even at your hands."--Vivec

Yea, found that one:

"None may stand in my way. Not you, and certainly not Vivec. He is a poet, a fool. I will deal with him when I have finished with you."--Almalexia

CHIM isn't an ultimate trump card that instantly beats everyone, Cyrus didn't have CHIM yet he beat Tiber's ass.

But Cider, isn't his point that having CHIM means if Almalexia won it wouldn't matter, because CHIM allows you to come back to life.
That is, it doesn't make you any more of a better swordsman or warrior. But it does convey certain advantages.

Yea, Vivec is a right bastard, he should excite the same emotions in you that King Jauffre does in Game of Thrones (except worse because Vivec did it with all the knowledge of a god whereas Jauffre is just a depraved kid).
Would he? Vivec talks about coming back to life, but the context of that discussion is his godhood from the Heart.

And Vivec's ass, too.

I answered this a while back. Can't find the quote, but pre-TESIII Almalexia would wreck him.

The warrior beats the poet in a swordfight. But we know which is mightier.

Likely: We're talking about a fight and she's the member of the Tribunal who epitomizes the warrior aspect.

This doesn't surprise me at all, but I think the question is about the Almalexia that we do find in TES III. What about the crazy one who's dealing with the loss of her divinity? Would she wreck him?

But:

I'm sure that that sentiment would be extended to include Almalexia if necessary. Vivec is more selfish than resigned, after all. It's why he achieved Chim and failed Amaranth. Probably.

I could imagine Almalexia kicking the balls off of Vivec with Sunder in one hand and Keening in the other, then roaming the world in search of the Heart. Then either achieving success with 'the Eye of Magnus' or dying a stupid death. Like one of those Dead Is Dead level 70 characters that gets killed by a bandit.

This is pretty much what I expected.

But doesn't it depend on whether or not it's a fair fight? Vivec fights with his mind more so than his body. I could see him out maneuvering her.

Also, would you mind clearing up the bit about CHIM and whether that makes Vivec immortal?

He lied. That's the only instance when he downright lied to us, as far I recall.
