Need a little direction in reinstalling Skyrim Elder Scroll

Post » Thu Nov 14, 2013 5:11 am

A year or so back I had bought skyrim elder scroll V for my computer and created a steam account with it. I played it for a short period of time and my computer crashed. ( Go Figure ) So then I bought the disc for my ps3 which to my horror it was not the same. I was not able to do some of the things I enjoyed on it when I played on my pc. Well now I have a pc and reinstalled steam as needed and reinstalling skyrim but I can not figure out how to erase all the old stuff on it. I would like to restore it back to like it was when it came out of the box. I have tried several things but it still has all the hours I played in the past along with all the dlc I added. So my question is can anyone help me here as to restoring my game as new so I may start from scratch if you can please post me some directions on how I can do this here or send them to my email addie thanyou so very much....

on your games list on steam, right click skyrim and click "delete local content". then you will have to re-download or install from the disc as normal.

Welcome to the forums.

Off topic, but just as a friendly reminder, there is a subforum for any questions you might have about Skyrim in the Elder Scrolls boards, entitled 'V - Skyrim'. This particular subforum we are in now is for the discussion of some of the much older Elder Scrolls titles, such as Daggerfall or Arena.

Good luck with getting Skyrim to work. :)
