Name: Sir Robert Stormshield
Race: Cyro-Nordic
Gender: Male
Age: 44
Physical Appearance: 6'4", with broad shoulders and a toned physique that is only just showing signs of decay. His arms, torso and back are covered with scars from years of war. He has a heavy brow and an anvil of a jaw.
Hair/ Eye Colour: He has dark green eyes and lengthy dark brown hair and a beard to match, both starting to become flecked with grey.
Weapons/Armour: He carries his family's ancestral claymore, a mighty blade of sky-forged steel. He also carries a dirk and longsword. When clad for war he wears greaves, vambraces and pauldrons of darkened steel (similar in style to the ES: IV legionnaires) and a white Kvatch surcoat worn over a heavy chainmail hauberk. When not garbed for battle he wears simpler attire: leather boots, a long green tunic, brown jerkin, grey trousers and gloves. He also wears a black cloak with a fur hood with both outfits as the situation occurs. Rides a great, silver horse.
Skills (ten max): Being a knight, he is skilled in combat with bladed weapons – both how to inflict damage and how to block it - (1/2) and the use of heavy armour and mounted combat (3/4). As a Baron, he has also learned the arts of governance, which requires a man who is good with words and coin (5). Long stints in the field have taught him how to keep his gear maintained, though he is no master blacksmith (6). A life of leading and fighting men have given a calm head on the battlefield, meaning that he can position himself and others in the best fashion to ensure victory or survival (7).

Personality: Being neither truly Nordic or Colovian, Robert easily floated between both groups but felt as though he never truly belonged in either, and thus became a quiet individual, not one to use two words where one would do; even though he may not say much he can do a lot with a look. He has a quiet temper, felt instead of heard, which is far more intimidating than a loud outburst. He has a long memory, and remembers any slight or debt committed against him or his family: he will forgive but never forget. Overall he is a good and honourable man, though he can be very harsh when he has to be.
History: Robert was knighted at the age of sixteen for an act of valour in the field. At the age of twenty he was granted a plot of land after four years of service in the western region of county Kvatch, though it was little more than a peasant's hovel and a few fields. Through years of hard work and well spent coin, the small village of Ridder Creek has sprung up with its own tavern, smithy, mill, wooden castle and wall, and houses to provide shelter for the men-at-arms and civilians in Sir Robert's service. He has spent much of life fighting and building his lands, which resulted in him marrying relatively late in life.
Just before the Oblivion Crisis, he came to the Imperial city to find his bastard daughter, Kate, after receiving word that her mother had died. The two have been able to somewhat reconcile their relationship. When Kvatch fell, Sir Robert helped keep the county in order as per the orders of Savlian Matius. While he didn’t fight in Bruma or the Imperial City, he did fight against roaming bands of Daedra that threatened Ridder Creek and the surrounding area.
Once the crisis had ended, he received word that the Knights of the Nine were looking to reforge their order, and were raising funds to restore their priory in the West Weald. Sir Robert invested a great many Septims so this could be accomplished, and two years later remains a major benefactor. While not a member of the order, and therefore not eligible to wear their colours, his close ties to them ensures that the knights treat him as though he’s one of their own, both because of his honour and kindness, and because it doesn’t hurt to be on good terms with the man you borrow money from. A visit to make sure his coin is being put to good use coincides with the news of a holy relic being discovered, and Robert finds another opportunity to increase his standing within the Cyrodiilic nobility, and especially the nobles vying for power in Kvatch County.
