I hope they aren't done with Skyrim

So I know that the last dlc/patch was released for Skyrim. However It'd be nice to see Skyrim released for PS4/xbox one. Updated, like the "anniversary" edition of last gen games that have been coming out. Meaning the game comes with all the DLC's already out, it has it's graphics modernized to the new consoles, has load times reduced since new gen can handle it. And above all else, they could add further DLCs that the new gen consoles can handle. Even large enough content to call them "expansion packs". Maybe a secondary world like Tribunal, or Shivering Isles, that doesn't have to be on the world map.

While I hate a lot of companies that nickel n dime us (bungie, infinity ward, treyarch, lionhead, etc) Elder scrolls is the ONLY game I care to invest more then 60$ into. Why? because I can spend 500-1000 hours in an elder scrolls game, and STILL make new discoveries. COD you've seen all there is to see in the first 20 hours. Same with halo, left for dead, Fable is more like 40 but that's it.

Skyrim alone I bought a PS3 for (literally just for skyrim I figured the blu ray would mean better graphics) on release day I played side by side with my friend on his 360... the xbox had better graphics. This was the LCE edition. I later bought a normal edition for the 360, as well as LCD strategy guide, and all DLC's. So for Skyrim I basically spent 620+ just on Skyrim. Outrageous right? And even with that said, I would be more then happy to spend another 60$ on it for the new gen version, and more on new content.

I'm getting to the age where my taste for games is quickly fading. I don't want to wait another decade for EDS VI. Yeah I enjoy fallout which should be out in a year or two, but not nearly as much as elder scrolls. And ESO doesn't count since it's an MMO, and is made from an outside company. I'm sure I will enjoy it, but not as much as Skyrim.

That and the fact that I enjoy my local Bethesda out in Park City. It's clever that they used some local names such as Solitude.

I would say they are done with it...Besides, they would have to remake the game so that it could be on par with other titles that have come out and soon to come out such as The Witcher 3, GTA V, Assassin's Creed 4, Watchdogs. I would like to have seen a more dynamic environment in Skyrim and thus would like to see that in the future. Underwater threats, never the threat of being eaten alive by maybe an alligator, a shark, a Skyrim killer whale(just kidding on the whale) but the point is that a lot of work would have to be done to see Next gen edition of Skyrim. I can't see Beth doing that...

They're done with it friend. I am sure you can muster another game to play these days til the next edition of TES...

I'm just glad they kept releasing patches even after the DLCs came out. It's not often you see a patch go up to 1.9 for a single-player game. As for the $620+ you spent, I bought an Xbox 360 and TV on the day Skyrim was released, and recently bought a new computer for around $650 I think, mostly to play Skyrim with mods, so I can relate. But for $620, you could've bought a gaming computer. Skyrim has a lot more replay value with mods and updated graphics.

That's why I can't support any request for Skyrim on Wii U, Xbox One, or PS4, because I feel buying any version other than Steam is a waste of money due to the prevalent issues that only mods can solve.
