All my games are crashing at the main menus, or immediately upon clicking play, from my steam library...I have TES:Skyrim Legendary, Torchlight 2, Vindictus, Warframe, Dawn of War 2, DoW2 Chaos Rising, DoW2 Retribution, and Enclave.. Dota 2, Dota 2 test, and Skullgirls are also in the list, but uninstalled..
This morning my virus scanner quarentined, and removed a file in my C drive.. "Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/Downloading/39120/qtwebkit4.dll".. I thought it was my windows critical update, also updated my drivers, then rolled them back, tried playing it through SKSE and SkyRe, then regular skyrim without any mods installed,.. Im at a loss, and am hoping its something to do with steam..
The game worked every single day, for many hours per day, until this morning..Ive been suing all the mods i currently have foor dozens and dozens of gameplay hours, and have had some rnadom ctd, but nothing like this..I have BOSS loading all the orders, and use Nexus Mod Manager for install/uninstalling..Im perfectly fine playing my other games, like dIABLO 3, dRAGON aGE ORIGINS, nEVERWINTER, ETC.. tHIS SEEMS TO ONL;Y HAPPEN WITH MY sTEAM GAMES, AND AGAIN, JUST STARTED THIS MORNING...
Man i hope this post shows up, i dont wanna retype this a 4th time!
Yea, i see.. Ive had to add it in a reply.. SHould be just above your current post ive replied too.. Sorry abotu that, im not sure whatcaused this...
I would try clearing the appcache in the steam folder. Sounds to me Steam may have been corrupted during the update and files in the appcache might be blocking steam from fixing it.
[edit]
If that does not work than I would contact Steam Support.
do i go into the appcache, or just delete the entire file? Im not the sharpest with this stuff
Leave the appcache folder and delete everything else.
i just uninstalled everything to do with steam, and/or skyrim.. This was unreal.. I had to rollback my damn pc.. Never did figure out the issue.. All of the sudden the mods/graphics became too much for my pc? i have no clue! It was actually turning off my drivers everytime i played skyrim..
