Need help with a Crusader build

Post » Tue Nov 19, 2013 8:51 am

Hi everyone, this is my first post here, I hope this is the right forum: I have Oblivion GOTY for PS3 and I have a Crusader lvl 3, I feel that is somewhat weak (I just finished the first Oblivion portal quest), could anyone give me some hints?

Thanks in advance.

Level 3, you should be weak. You should be getting schooled by the animals of Cyrodiil. But it gets better, don't worry! And welcome to the forums!

I don't have a fishy stick. Someone will give you one soon.

Closing that Oblivion gate, is tough at level 3, but as you can see, you did just fine. Nice work. :)

You might want to list your stats, as well, or did you just choose the crusader class?

Thanks

I choose Crusader class, and I'm using a Legion set and a Dremora Mace with a shield, but my character seems to be weak on defense, I really don't know what should I do

Hmmm.

Sometimes those default classes, leave a lot to be desired. Especially this build.

Would you be willing to restart, and try a slightly different build, along the same lines of what you want?

What exactly do you want?

You want to poke things, whack things, burn things, shoot things?

What kind of armor do you want to wear?

What do you envision? Sky's the limit.

I love the Legion armor. My knight sports a set of unenchanted legion greaves.

I want to adventure through the game while using both melee and spells

If possible I wouldn't want to restart again... this are my stats and skills (lvl 3):

Strength 49
Intelligence 40
Willpower 49
Agility 25
Speed 35
Endurance 55
Personality 50
Luck 50

Athletics 38

Blade 38
Blunt 42
Hand to hand 35
Heavy Armor 49
Destruction 33
Restoration 31

The problem is, is that Blade, Blunt and H2H all contribute to the Strength Attribute.

Three! You would be better putting something as a major that will help you with your spells, which is directly related to your Intelligence.

Like Conjuration or Mysticism (not Alchemy) so you can get points upon level up to put towards your Intelligence.

Also, you have a disease. Go to the chapel.

I like to choose one killing skill, maybe two, when using seven majors. You gonna use a blade AND a mace? Seems like one wasted slot to me, you could drop in one of the aforementioned. Blunt and Spell sounds good.

If you go to the U, you can turn Restoration spells into amazing killer spells.

Thanks, so next level I should level up intelligence over willpower right?

and I like blunt weapons because of the spells that does damage on touch, but I have yet to see them work well
