We really needed more armour

Post » Sun Nov 24, 2013 2:03 pm

Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved the way the armours looked in the game but we just didn't get enough choice. I don't agree with micro transactions but they could've released an armour pack of around 6 heavy armours, 6 light armours, a few hoods and cool looking robes and a couple of new weapons for a VERY reasonable price. However, more should've really been added to the game from the start. Thoughts?

It's fine to me, we have a large variety.

I'm okay with the amount we got.

At the very least, we needed more equivalents to the College Robes that Radiant Raiment sells (They look like Expert Robes) for all the remaining levels of experience (Novice, Apprentice, Adept, and Master) so that we could decide for ourselves what enchantments we wanted on any given robe. Ditto that for all the other robes in the game.

Also, why do Necromancer Robes only cover Magicka Regen but never Conjuration? Makes no sense...

I guess more variety could have been better, specifically light armors. Although if they would have made elven look decent or scaled not look like bandit fur armor, that would have helped too. We could use more robe variety for mages, that's for sure. As far as heavy armor goes, I like the options we have currently

The other thing I'd say that was needed was the ability to craft unenchanted faction armor after completing the questlines, even if it was restricted to that faction's base.

Zaria think we has to much armor.

Testing it all and Zaria would not get any time exploring

Same here, I think there's plenty to choose from.

The only option at this point for more armor in Skyrim is playing on PC and downloading mods.

I agree with others who think there was enough between the base game and DLCs.

I don't agree with paying for mods when PC players have them for free.

So true, non of the probably thousand good armors on nexus and workshop makes up for the lack of pants.

its also something who is ridiculously hard to mod in, yes some has tried with some success but its hard to get it to work right.

It would have been nice to have a few more armour pieces but more in having more slots like the older games had. Winter Covering such as Fur Capes, Fur Hoods, and Fur Overcoats would have fitted in nicely

The worst part is that we have loads of equipment slots, plenty of mods on pc who add various jewelry, bags and other accessories.

However you could not get moders to agree on an new armor system, it would be like herding an million cats.

New armour will not extend the life of the game, only roleplaying will.

I think it would've been cool if there were more variations of each type. For instance, not every single piece of Ebony armor looked exactly the same. Maybe light and heavy armors of each type; light and heavy Ebony, Glass, Daedric, ect. I don't like that when you get Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood, it's automatically light armor. Maybe give a choice on whether you want light or heavy. Although, I guess I can see why Thieves Guild armor is light, since light armor is better for sneaking around and all that stuff. Also would've been cool if you could alter the color of any armor you craft.

If you're on PC, download Immersive Armors or/and Immersive Weapons from the Skyrim Nexus, it will add a lot more.
