How to fix? This has been a problem ever since I first played skyrim, vanilla or modded. Sometimes dragons reach doesn't appear at all even when i am right next to the wall. Most of the time however I get "haunted dragonsreach" where it only shows floating window glow, at night it looks kinda cool actually. I am thinking aybe its a "ugrids" issue? But I have never changed the nor do any of my ini files actually have a ugrids setting. The same stuff occurs all over the place, but its most noticeable here.

I have all settings on ultra btw. My CPU is an i7, I have 4GB RAM, and an AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series 1GB. So, I shouldn't really have video issues or memory issues.

I recall this might be an AMD graphics issue. Check in Catalyst Control Center that anti-aliasing is set to something else than adaptive-AA.

Yes, vsync causes my mouse to lag and it takes a second between moving my mouse and the mouse moving on screen. Vsync is actually quite horrible I have turned it off in every game I have played since the mid-90s lol.

Also, I think its a game issue because modded buildings show up just fine from even further away, such as the house in the very far back in this picture, its a modded house:

Edit: To be honest... it seems as if there are no low detail meshes and textures, and stuff doesn't appear until up close. Though again, in some places it seems there are. Is it possible some how all of my LOD textures and meshes got deleted? If so, I guess installing a mod for those might make them appear again... I do not want to reinstall skyrim.

I have replaced the map a few times, that might be it.

Try and verify the game cache, it good bring back some important textures and meshes that were lost if you overwrote distance terrain files. If not re-install

Another idea is to expand the ugrid load settings to 7 instead of 5 in the skyrim ini folder. But only try that if your put of options because it could cut on fps
