I was wondering a little bit ago in the Fallout universe I only really remember them saying that China nuked America and America nuked China, so does that mean that just America and China are destroyed or did the whole world go down to? I had this weird idea that Russia didn't go down during the Great War and was going around saving refugees and scavenging supplies. But that seems unlikely because the amount of Nuclear Fallout that would of spread when the bombs fell but that still wouldn't destroy the whole planet at least I don't think it would. Anyway what I'm trying to ask is what happened to the rest of the planet when "the bombs fell?"

I'm sure that it was only the really major countries, some places I imagine didn't get nuked directly but are suffering from the mutated creatures, weather and plants.
