What is the demo release date?

Post » Sat Apr 24, 2010 1:46 am

Hello Brink fans, i was wondering if anyone knew when the Brink demo is coming out.
I pre-ordered Brink and it said it would be shipped to my house on March 9 to March 11 if anyone was wondering?

I don't think a demo has been announced, and there is no official release date as of yet.

There is no official release date beyond "Spring 2011" but stores and magazines often put up placeholder dates like this; others are putting up dates in April and I've even seen a few in May.

There hasn't been anything official said about a demo.

Hopefully the date will be whenever the game is complete.

Funny how some devs cant seem to figure that one out though. Or I suppose publishers are the ones at fault.

Stupid people buy the games anyway, so why should they work on it until it's actually finished?

If it's a new franchies however, they better get it done right, before release.

*ponders Diakatana and Duke Nukem Forever*

Having a firm release date has its advantages :)

Having a firm release date has its advantages :)

Im not so sure about daikatana, but Duke Nukem HAD release dates, but they were so far behind when each of them came up, that they pushed it back several times, before finally saying "it will be done when its done". Then they got downsized, and not much got done in the following years.

Reminds me of the first Spiderman movie.
"The seven-year battle over the feature film rights to the Marvel Comics character has become Hollywood's costliest and most convoluted legal spectacle. There are five lawsuits pending before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Valerie Baker, with as many as 18 separate written agreements at issue. Last month, a Delaware judge overseeing Marvel's bankruptcy cleared the California cases for trial, which could begin before the end of the year. "

Took them some 5 years or so to sort out all the legal battles.

I want to has demo. It'd be pretty funny if the demo just let you look at all the customization stuff. But you couldn't DO anything.

We already thought about that. A while a ago, we had a thread about all possible demo stuff.

My suggestion back then was a freerun minigame, where you could test out the SMART system.

I think it's scheduled to come out when Half Life 3 comes out... the game on the other hand sometime in the spring of next year. No official date don't ask... and don't make fun of gabe because he'll push HL3 back if you do :whistling: , or use canned animations to describe anything it makes wedgewood cry if you do. :cryvaultboy:

There is no planned demo atm, so you are incorrect in saying that its scheduled for release at any time.
