Name: Olfrid Frost-Veins

Born: Dawnstar, Skyrim.

Race: Nord

Born to Bjorlam and Aela, Olfrid was raised on a farm near Dawnstar. He grew up with a sister named Hedvig. His parents had founded the Frost-Veins clan a decade before his birth, an influentual vampire hunting clan within the hold. The Frost-Veins were fierce advocates of the Nine Divines, especially Talos, Stendarr and Julianos. Young Olfrid was raised into the ranks from the age of nine, learning to eventually wield a crossbow and boosting magics at the age of 12, after 3 years practice with a bow. The Frost-Veins were staunch hunters of the undead, especially vampires whom they saw as being the biggest threat to the divines creations. Wielding crossbows, the boosting magics of Alteration/Restoration and strong steel from the forge, the Frost-Veins were the holds most respected clan by the time they left for Morrowind to protect Skyrim's borders from the undead when Olfrid was in his early 20s.

Upon arriving in Morrowinds capital Blacklight, the Frost-Veins were at first very on-edge about the prospect of doing buisness with the Dunmer (who's very creation was brought about by the Daedra.) And the Dunmer learned to live with their prejudices against outlanders as they admired their skill in dispatching the undead, even if at times it conflicted with Dunmer beliefs. A minority of Dunmer opposed the Nordic clan although due to their influence, could do nothing to tackle it.

For many years Olfrid was slaying vampires by his parents side, becoming more and more proficient wielding his crossbow. His mother devoted her time to studying Alchemy, poisining her bow for extra effectiveness. While his father was a master smith. Olfrid enjoyed many years of coin, mead and divine favour while protecting Skyrim's borders from the undead. Then came the Argonian invasion...

The Frost-Veins who for years had been employing Argonian and Khajiit slaves for battle were disgusted by this uprising and were quick to join the Dunmer resistence. They saw the Argonians as nothing more than beasts who were rebelling against their masters. Olfrid's father Bjorlam died on the battlefield, leaving him no last words.Olfrid was left blinded in one eye. His mother and sister were told to stay at home and take on new identity's to not raise any suspicion. Olfrid fled to Riften, knowing that his family was safe in Blacklight. He crossed the border once or twice a month to bring supplies. He made a good living in Riften working as a blacksmith. He laid down his weapons and in his old age, had done everything he wanted to in life. He was however, a strong Stormcloak advocate. Riften being a Stormcloak hold, he fit in perfectly, learning to never go to the docks or the inn as many Argonians frequented these areas. For the rest of his life he held bitter resentment towards Argonians, and to a lesser extent Khajiits who found their methods of profiting from the war disgusting.

Then the news came that his mother and sister were dying of a terrible plague in Blacklight, caused by the rapid intergration of Argonians. In his old age he despaired, and decided to visit them one last time, knowing that he would most certainly catch the plague aswell. He had planned to earn enough coin to bring his family to Riften, this however was now impossible. Upon returning to Skyrim, he was captured by the Imperial Legion along with Jarl Ulfric of Windhelm and his Stormcloaks. After the events of Helgen old Olfrid was forced to take up arms once again and fulfill his prophecy as Dragonborn.
