Dude do you even read?

Post » Fri Nov 29, 2013 12:14 pm

I am a really big fan of the elder scrolls lore and the amount of books you can find in skyrim is mind blowing. I've read almost every single book i've come across and im not even finished with half of the books. So my question to you is, do you even read the books?

Edit: I use to play skyrim only careing about having fun and slaying dragons. But when i saw a series on youtube called Elder Scrolls Lore by ShoddyCast (Btw that is not my channel) i wanted to know more about the lore of skyrim. I watched the entire series and i am waiting for more. So instead of waiting i started to read the books in skyrim and now i love the elder scrolls series.

I read the ones that catch my interest.

Like immortal blood or the wolf queen books.

I try to read as many as I can. The lore is very interesting.

I collect all the books (Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim). I always have someplace to stash them that is also a resting place. Sometimes I just read a couple at random, other times I do specific 'research'. In my current play for example I'm doing a quest that calls for visiting a Dwemer ruin, so I read everything my character has in his library on the Dwemer.

You can buy it new, it's just hard to find in brick and mortar stores. I've seen it available online. If not, there's always Steam or better yet, the Anthology (it's ridiculously cheap on Amazon right now).

I read some, but not that many. My first Elder Scrolls game was Morrowind, back then I read most books.

Anything about the Dwemer Sir.

I like the terms that the observers from a predominately mystical http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_view use to describe technological phenomena beyond their ability to fully comprehend.

Some german words are simply wunderbar.

I read most of the books as I come across them, I have looked up ones from Morrowind and read them, on the UESP. I read the ones in Oblivion as I played the game.

BTW I just bought a new copy of Oblivion GOTY edition on Amazon.com.....well about 5 month ago.

I just got a GOTY edition from GameStop downloads because I couldn't get a Shivering Isles add on any other way that I could find. Getting it by other than digital download at the moment seems pretty challenging.

Note, GameStop digital download uses an encrypted exe file that is not compatible with Oblivion Script Extender, which is in turn required by many mods. This wasn't a problem for me since I could just swap in the exe from my original disk installation of Oblivion, but it's something to consider in buying digital downloads.
