How To Extract & Replace Vanilla Music?

Post » Wed Dec 04, 2013 8:30 am

Hey all!

It's been quite a while now since I've played FO3 and other BS games, but I recently decided (and so did numerous friends) to mod up and start playing FO3 again. We've been modding and putting stuff on for the last few days and now are at the point of wanting to extract (somehow) and change the main stock vanilla ingame music. It's been sooooo long since I last did this and I can't for the life of me remember how I did it last time. Can anyone please help me figure out again how I can extract the main vanilla in game music files and replace them with custom music files of our own? Any help would be MUCH appreciated! Thanks in advance and GOOD HUNTING!

Do a search for "Music" at the Fallout 3 Nexus and you will find dozens of mods that already do this. Modify one of those with the music you want.

Just remember, if your adding copyrighted music to the game, it can only be with a personal use mod. You can not ever publish it for distribution with the copyrighted music.
