Hey all~

I'm currently having a problem with FO3, which I've never experienced or even heard of before. I started the game after patching it to 1.7, and everything ran the way it should. However, when I clicked on "new game", it would play the opening movie, then it would start the 'operating room' scene and start to bug out.

The problem is, is that the events aren't being triggered for one reason or another (note I have no mods installed). The actors look like they spasm slightly, then I hear the father ask "are you a boy or a girl" (completely skipping some text that I swear came before that) with the corresponding choice. After that, he says his next line, then just stares out into oblivion and nothing happens. The wife doesn't answer, nor does it take me to the character-creation screen.

Do you have any power options that throttle your video card to 2D when the content does not need 3D? The game is in 2D until the birth scene, then it goes 3D. Most power schemes will not allow the card to change modes.

Also, is this a rig that has a video card and on CPU graphics? The system could be trying to run the game on the CPU graphics.

Like CCNA stated it could be that.

Please give us system specs and dxdiag report.

Yes fallout 3 was not built for such technology ... It definately does not like the new fangled switcheroo.

Plz post a dxdiag if you would like more indepth advice like Erzherz said ... otherwise its to much of a guessing game for us to give you useful advice
