Fallout 2.
Though, I don't know if you needed to do this just to prove a point that some people will come in and say they prefer the FPS [censored] that we have now; as it's kind of a given, eventually (and this would've probably worked better if the other thread wasn't there).
Anyways, add a vote to make a difference.
That's not the point of me creating this thread, it's an experiment to see if the moderators will react to it. If they don't then that means we have a thread for 1st gen Fallouts and a thread for 2nd gen Fallouts, if they do react to it my best guess is that they will close this one down and ask that we keep this discussion about favorite gameplay mechanics in one thread; the other thread. I didn't create it to prove a point that people will suggest things from the 2nd gen games in here.
Anyway, so like I said in the other thread my favorite gameplay mechanic is SPECIAL because I find it to be a brilliant yet simple system to use on any character from anything. With 5 being average anything under it is below average and anything over 5 is above average. It is such a simple system but can work wonders for roleplaying purposes, especially if you feel like RPing as a character from a different franchise. Like if I were to take Carley from The Walking Dead I think I'd put her Perception at 6 or above because she's quite good at using her pistol, but she doesn't have a lot of muscle so Strength would probably be at 4. SPECIAL could be applied to any character to figure out their strengths and weaknesses which is something I haven't seen a whole lot of other RPG's do properly with their stat systems.
