Some one started a "What Misc items do you carry?" thread so I thought I'd start this one. As an example of what I'm talking about:

Even though the game is so bright at night I'll always find a camp and sleep til the next morning, even in hardcoe when this costs extra food and water. The only exception is if I'm staging an attack on a specific target where it would make sense to take advantage of the cover of night (ie the NCRCF).

I'll take the armor from dead bandits I find or kill but I'll leave regular people with their dignity instead of stripping them.

I'll only steal certain of the skill books after I've done a favor for the people who own them (ie healing the mole rat and fixing the generator in Sloan).

If I play a NCR trooper I'll only use military style weapons like the 9mm pistol and Service Rifle instead of any of the cowboy weapons.

If I get ambushed near Mick and Ralph's in New Vegas I'll lead the ambushers away before killing them so the kids playing on that street don't see it.

In New Vegas there's a scripted ambush where you get lured into an alley. I'll kill the ambushers and throw them in a dumpster then drag their previous victim out to the street where his body can be found for a proper burial.

Oh I could go crazy here but I will only post a few things.

1. I turn the brightness down because its so bright at night I want it actually dark at night to the point where my visibility is so poor I have to stop and rest till morning.

2. When I play as a Legionary I actually rank myself so I start as a Recruit then when I do a mission or two I go up to Prime Legionnaire. So with every rank I go up I upgrade my weapon set.

3. If I'm attacking an area like NCRCF I will wait till night when its easier to ambush or sneak inside. I will also slip on the outfit of whatever faction controls that location so I can do some recon of the area.

4. When I'm doing my Legion character and I attack a settlement I'll kill the women so they don't get enslaved because my character even though he is one of Caesar's most trusted and honored legionnaires he has deep issues with enslaving women and children.

5. I also hunt animals like Geckos, Coyotes, and Mole Rats take the meat and hide that I might need for eating of crafting and then sell the rest to a merchant.

That is all I can think of right now but if I think of more I will post them here.

As I've mentioned on previous threads I will walk everywhere (unless running is more appropriate). I won't take clothes from dead enemies, partly to leave them with some dignity in death, but also because I'm not going to strip the clothes from a blood spattered cold corpse. I won't dig in graves for a similar reason
