Daggerfall walking problem

Post » Wed Dec 04, 2013 5:45 pm

Hey. I managed to get through part 1 and out into the snow (thank the lord) but my character started to hug the walls when walking. Like, Ill be walking and my guy will walf kinda forward but to the right aswell. I have to use the shift keys to move and it is really annoying. I'ts probably just a noob mistake though.

Slow down your CPU. You can use Ctrl+F11 to slow them down, or set a value, like 20,000 (IIRC) in the properties of the shortcut.

Hello. You used the "look around" button to give yourself temporary mouselook. Problem is, when you let go of that key, your head is still looking slightly off center. So your feet are walking straight but your head is still to the side.

Hit "center view" which should be the home key. That will fix your problem.

And then go into Controls -> mouse -> and set to look. Now the enter key toggles the cursor and you otherwise have mouselook like a more modern game.
