draining my attributes

Post » Wed Dec 04, 2013 1:25 pm

I'm doing the last temple quest, the ebony mail. I just noticed something is draining my attributes and I don't have a clue as to what it might be. I've tried common disease and blight, but can't see to make it go away. My eyesite is not the best and I can't make out the item in the last box ( top left on the screen).

Please don't be angry, I havent done a heal or rest during the four corners temple quest and I just did one and it went away. Sorry.

If you have ruled out Disease, then it will be a http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Drain_Attribute or a http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Damage_Attribute

(enemies have spells that can do these to you)

Drained ones are temporary, and will fix themselves when the spell wears off.
Damaged ones need to be http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Restore_Attribute.

The easiest way to restore them is by getting a blessing from a Tribunal shrine, or an Imperial Cult shrine.

Go around to the temples and Imperial forts until you find a shrine with the Almsivi Restoration or Restore Attributes blessings.

It's a good idea to keep carry a few potions like this, especially Restore Strength potions.

One temporary option for Damaged Strength is also Fortification. So, if you aren't much of an alchemist or don't have much money, drink some alcohol! Stuff like Sujamma, Greef, Mazte and Flin Fortify your Strength for great amounts for 30 - 60 seconds. Those might be enough for you to get to a healing shrine without leaving all your stuff in a cave. :P Also a good way to carry some loot that would otherwise make you over-encumbered.

But those safe-as-houses ways are by far better in case your attribute gets Damaged. Have a means to teleport to a shrine (Divine and Almsivi Intervention spells, scrolls, etc.), or carry Restore potions or scrolls, or learn the spells. :)

Also, Feather is very useful. I'm tempted to just enchant a 100 CE feather ring just in case my strength is damaged :P
