For me Oblivion feels much mire smooth on the PS3. The draw distance is better, less lag, better framerate etc. I was wondering, do you guys feel the same?

Also before anyone says anything about nostalgia i play oblivion regularly. I play for about 7 hours on a friday and 4 on a saturday (my weeks are from sunday to tuesday, as i moved from the U.K to egypt)

Oblivion run better, no question about it. But it's also a technologically simpler game so it would be surprising if it didn't.

I agree with you, but since oblivion is a bigger game, wouldn't it be more taxing on a PS3?

Oblivion might have a slightly larger landmass, but the Skyrim landmass is more detailed. Not only with better textures, but the landmass is also more populated by rocks and stuff, and if you're close to the river you can see fishes swimming against the streams. While Oblivion is a detailed game, the detail doesn't reach those heights.
