Can I reduce dragon encounters?

Post » Wed Dec 04, 2013 6:26 pm

I dont want to eliminate them altogether, just reduce the frequency.

I live in a house in Riverwood, and it seems like every 2 or 3 days, I'm fighting a dragon....

Once a week or so, or maybe less, would be better.

There are a couple of mods that already do this. Also, since Patch 1.9 the random attacks have been diminished after you complete the MQ, at least it seems that way.

Anyway, see this one

Would rather reduce the frequency than stop them altogether, but this will work.

I'm level 23 and already have over 30 bones and scales.... :stare:

Good to know that I'm not the only one that this bothers.

Thanks CCNA!

There's a setting that controls this timer in the quest that spawns dragons.

You can change the interval between attacks by adjusting the global variable WIWaitDragon. by default it's set to 3 (days). You could do it with the console or via a script if you like. http://forums.uesp.net/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=34523

Open the console and enter

set wiwaitdragon to x

where x is the interval in days you want between two dragons.

This setting will work for you current save only.

That's what I was looking for!

TYVM!

I'll make an esp to change the script... that will be easier than entering it into the console every time.

You don't need a script to change a global.
