Nordic religions

Ancient Nordic. I'm disappointed that so much of the religion was so Cyrodillic in Skyrim, but I guess that makes sense given the history between Cyrodiil and Skyrim with all those centuries of Imperial rule. It's still a little jarring seeing Nords killing in the name of the Old Ways for the return of Talos Worship while revering the benevolent Arkay over Old Orkey. Some of it remained like Mara's position as Kyne's handmaiden, but it wasn't enough for me.

Fermented bee barf please.

I'm not surprised that most of the people who voted for Modern Nord Pantheon also voted for milk and those who chose Ancient or Atmoran also chose mead

Atmoran Totems... the glory days.... sigh...

Too much alcholol consumption is bad, but milk is heresy. So, mead.

Correct. The Dragon Cult is the earliest form[and only form] of the Totem worship you can see in Skyrim... and all TES games for that matter.

"Ancient" Nord Pantheon was the beginning of the end... not long after, the... Alessians took power. Why did they take power? Because the Nords committed heresy against the benevolent Dragon cult, centuries prior. It was only natural, that without the guidance of their ancestors, they would succumb to Imperialism.

Why isn't the Dragon Cult an option?

I find all the religions fascinating, and I was disappointed that they weren't really explored that much in the game. The Dragon Cult, the totems, the Old Nord Pantheon, the All-Maker, and even the Imperial Pantheon aren't very much present in the game. So much focus is placed on the worship of Talos that most every other religion seems to have been swept under the rug. Very sad.

Also,

Spoiler
Can somebody explain to me why Tsun is Zenithar (according to the UESP's http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Pantheons page) rather than Stendarr/why Stuhn isn't present in Sovngarde? The latter seems more appropriate to be the guardian of Shor's Hall than the former.

The Dragon Cult was the Atmoran Totem religion... The only "difference" was that we took it to the next level and gave more and more of our devotion, chiefly to the Dragon. But in practice, it was still the Atmoran totem religion and all it's customs.

The Dragon Cult is part of the Totems hence Hevnoraak's rambling.

I think it's because Tsun was killed defending him against "foreign" gods so Shor would likely trust him more.
