Im on xbox and for some reason, since deleting skyrim and re-downloading it again, the duplication drop glitch using a follower doesn't work.

I used to use it before and it worked perfectly with different followers and chainging cells.

Does anyone have any idea why this is and how can I go about restoring this glitch?

Some items don't duplicate. What have you tried?

Make sure your follower doesn't have to walk to collect the item(s). If it just bends down and picks the item(s) up then it will work.

Im trying to dupe items which i have duped before in my previous playthroughs (before I deleted and re-downloaded), such as torches, Helm of Yngol, staff of paralysis...etc

I've duped them all before but wierdly can't dupe them now. I will try the follower walking thing but I don't think its that as I've had followers walk and picked up and have been successful duping.

Any other suggestions?

Where are you trying to dupe? I have had trouble duping inside towns, like Riverwood, only to have them appear after I left the town an returned entirely.

Bleak Falls Barrow and Dragonsreach are my preferred duplication locations.

I only duplicate things in whiterun ar the main gate (dropping items inside the city)

ive tried whiterun, riften stables, various different barrows, all of which use to work but no longer does..... its driving me nuts now

This may sound stupid but do you know if you are doing it correctly.

yes, ive done it MANY times previously... it feels like its just suddenly stopped working after i redownloaded it

It's really wierd because it does work. Try clearing the cache and installing the updates again.

I only tried duping once to get dual Molag maces and it didn't work until I dropped a torch next to it. I did it in Breezehome with Borgakh.

Do you have Dawnguard installed? It didn't work for me until I had that DLC.
