Hi. I recently returned to a game of Oblivion I started a couple of years ago. In my inventory is an item labeled "Transmuted Chunk of Lead". I have no idea what this is or where it came from, but I assume that it is connected to a mod. My Google-fu has proven entirely useless. Does anyone here know what this is or what mod it is associated with?

Not sure if something like RefScope of FormID Finder could help out here. On the Morrowind side if I've ever wanted to track something down like this I've used a grep tool (I'm currently using Textcrawler although there are others). Set it to search my Data folder, restrict to just that folder and *.es? files. Then search for the text string "Transmuted Chunk of Lead" to see which mod includes it.

I guess you could drop it on the ground and get the FormID and then you'd know which mod it was from too. I'm not that much of an expert on Oblivion troubleshooting. But I'm learning

Thanks for the tip, Dragon32! The first 2 chars of the FormID were 5F, which according to Oblivion Mod Manager would be Hoarfrost Castle. Unfortunately, I cannot find any mention of the item in this mod's documentation. At least I got a partial answer!
