This topic is for a friendly discussion of ideas and suggestions for Fallout 4. We all have opinions about what the next game should have and should not have. Each of us has the right to express that opinion freely. There are points we agree on and points we do not agree on. This means that people are going to disagree with you on some things. Accept that and move on. No need to beat your point so far into the ground that no one wants to look at it any more.


At moderator discretion, threads about specific and distinct topics as they relate to FO4 and the rest of the Fallout series may be acceptable in the Fallout Series forum. General idea/suggestion topics for a future Fallout game will either be closed, or moved to this one.

This thread should be used to discuss items you'd like to see in a future game, gameplay tweaks, quest ideas, things you hope are not in the next game and so on. If you want to discuss major issues, use a separate topic - such as the discussion about adding multi-player or co-op play, which already has a thread. Please search first to see if there is an active/recent thread on a particular topic.

Something to note. Discussions of Child Killing is not allowed on these boards. Don't even bring it up in this thread. It won't happen in any future game from Bethesda, so there is no reason to even discuss it. If you post about this subject, you may be Warned and or Banned from the boards for doing so.

This is also not a thread to discuss current or past Fallout Games, other than to mention an aspect of the game you want to see included, or not included, in a future Fallout game.

Apart from publishing a fallout game 3 years ago and it's dlc about 2 years ago?While selling new Fallout merch on there website and Pete Hines saying that they acquired the IP to make more than one game?And it being confirmed by Pete Hines that they are working on a singleplayer rpg?Also forgetting they are fans of the series.

People are entitled to there opinion but you have no factual basis and may as well be saying "well I just don't feel it in the stars know what I mean?"

They don't comment on rumours, except to say "No comment."

Bethesda Game Studios has two IPs they could conceivably work on, Elder Scrolls, and Fallout. They operate in a pattern, TES, Fallout, TES. It would only be logical for them to move on to a new Fallout game. With ESO coming out, there is no need to over-saturate the Elder Scrolls market, at least not for a few more years. It is almost certian that their next project is Fallout 4, whether they announce it now or in 6 months.

They just moved into full production a little less than a year ago, and probably won't be coming out for a another year at least, so why tell us about it now. If they really weren't doing another one for years to come, why would they even consider selling Fallout merch anyways?

They did, and they (most likely) got that other site pulled down rather quickly.

They are doing Fallout 4 at the moment, and it will be released relatively soon. Who cares if they are "silent" on it or not? If you haven't noticed, that's their style.

It's just this one they haven't debunked, specifically.

your guessing and hoping. yes, they may in fact be working on it. but there is no evidence of it, or reason other then pure speculation; to assume they are.

Could but it looks unlikely but if you look at it from a distance and squint your eyes figuratively speaking people from Bethesda will be in L.A where VGX is held on the same day it's a coincidence and they made the same remark about VGA 2010 and well they revealed skyrim.

I still believe them though I don't think they will be there to announce anything but I live in hope.

January 28th, 2014? They did say that it would be their shortest period from Announcement to release... no that's WAY too soon.

They said "no comment" to media outlets looking for info after the site was discovered. That tweet was just telling you to ignore the rumors.

It's not guessing and it's not fact it's an educated guess that looks more likely than not to be accurate.

Does not specifically address thesurvivor. There are multiple sites at the moment, following the discovery of thesurvivor. In the past, they have specifically pointed out sites as hoaxes.

Which amounts to a hypothesis, which in turn can lead to a theory....and theories can be proven or disproven, but for that you need at least some facts, and in the words of Mr. Spock, so far we have none.

It all starts with a hypothesis though, which seems to be where we are at now.

Yeah, I hope there just lying for the sake of making it a big surprise. That would be absolutely beautiful.

I agree it isn't likely. They are big name company in this industry. It would be a big oversight to not invite people from Bethesda to come to the event and I am sure it would be seen as a big insult if Bethesda didn't send people to attend it.

But the fact remains that we don't know just what that single player rpg is. Could be an entirely new ip...not that I actually think it is, in fact, I think it really is Fallout.

Yeah we can't put the nail in the coffin and say it's definitely in Development but going off of what Pete said and Beth development pattern I'd bet my kidney on it, but still as you said we can't say with any clarity.

I don't know to be honest they will have a lot of big devs there for awards and reveals I don't see why the people behind VGX would be so concerned about Bethesda being there for the sake of it, but regardless dishonored is up for an award so people from beth and arkane would be there i presume anyway.
