Could Neloth possibly beat Miraak?

Post » Sun Dec 08, 2013 2:31 am

I started the Dragonborn quest yesterday and i did the first part were you first meet up with Miraak in Apocrypha. I was just thinking from the top of my head, what if you (the dragonborn) would not be able to beat Miraak and he would try to take over Solstheim, i suppose the only one who could stop Miraak would be Neloth. He is a master Telvanni wizard-lord. Do you believe Neloth would be capable of defeating Miraak in a man to man fight?

Miraak would throw himself of that tower because no matter what he would do, he'd never impress Master Neloth.

Neloth.

I'm not sure because Neloth is a master wizard but Miraak is Dragonborn.

I would vote No but since the "no" vote is "definitely not" I just picked I'm not sure.

As much as I would love to say "Yes, Neloth could..." I have my doubts so I voted Unsure. As long as Miraak is contained by ol Herma mora, no one but another dragonborn can get to him. Should Miraak break free from Herma's grasp and return to the world... I fear we would all be in trouble.

Neloth would diss Miraak so hard that he'll make Miraak commit suicide by summoning a tentacle to impale himself

Yes, because even Beth can't kill Neloth. (Originally supposed to be a quest in Morrowind where you assassinate Neloth, but it was taken out. COINCIDENCE?)

Lord Mora laughs in contempt of the foolish Wizard even considering fighting a Tongue of Old and Dragonborn. Neloth is not Vehk, Seht, or Ayem.

Neloth was not protected by Prophecy, and died well many times in many playthroughs of Morrowind.

Because if Neloth dies then all of Tamriel will become a wasteland and be full of mutants.

No. Neloth is obviously a more likable character but Miraak was clearly established to be second only to the Last Dragonborn. If he had his full arsenal in use he would make short work of Neloth.

Sorry Neloth fans but objectivity wins this round.
