I've begun work on rebuilding Vvardenfell piece by piece, but I want to know if there is anyone out there willing to help me recreate some things like the Bitter Coast trees or the Seyda Neen shacks. Seyda Neen was my first target, as it's where Morrowind begins, and I've got a lot of work done so far. So my question is: would anyone be willing to help me get the meshes I need or do they already exist. (And, as I'm familiar with Morrowind's editing kit more than I am Skyrim's, how can I include them?) I'm not asking for a 9-5 commitment, and I'm willing to post a few screenshots if I can figure out how to take them to show you that I'm not bluffing about having worked on Seyda Neen. I want to do most of the work building, but the meshes are what're being a pain in the butt right now. I'd be grateful to anyone who can point me in the right direction and doubly grateful to anyone willing to help. If you WANT to help, which I won't refuse, I'd love to have someone walk through the bits of Seyda Neen I've rebuilt and tell me what you think, do quality control, etc.
I'm trying to imagine Seyda Neen as it would look in the fourth era. Juding by the fact that the majority of Red Mountain's fury seems to have gone north towards Solstheim, I'm assuming that the Bitter Coast region would've been left largely untouched save for possible tectonic or earthquake activity causing slight landscape shifts. As a result, some parts (like the old lighthouse) collapsed. Without the guiding beacon, many ships ran aground on the rocks in the strait between Seyda Neen and mainland Morrowind, especially as larger ones were forced up due to geologic activity. However, seeing as quite a bit of time has passed since the Nerevarine trekked through the Bitter Coast, Seyda Neen will have obviously grown a bit. The fishing shacks have grown up into full-fledged houses and the Census and Excise office is larger. There would be more activity and I want to add a better dock later on, but I'm still learning the newer CK.
Once I finish with Seyda Neen, I want to eventually move north and work on Addamasartus (the cave near Seyda Neen) and the silt strider port. From there, my goal is to start building towards Pelagiad and eventually Balmora (provided I can find meshes that will work with those cities). I loved Morrowind and would love to walk through Seyda Neen once more, take the long journey towards the north and see the devastation of Red Mountain's wrath. My true fascination (as is evidenced by my name) would be to rebuild the old Dwemer ruins that didn't get cacked by the explosion of the volcano, such as Arkngthand (possibly), Aleft, Mzahnch, Nchardumz and Nchurdamz). I also want to build the island with Fort Firemoth on it. My goal for this mod is to at least complete the Bitter Coast Region. Much of central and northern Vvardenfell would be uninhabitable due to the volcanic activity (among other things, such as hostile life forms), but I think rebuilding the Bitter Coast Region is a definite possibility.
Please tell me what you think, and I'll try to put up screenshots as soon as I figure out how. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be thrilled if you could share them. I'm not trying to get a community mod project started or anything, I just need input and possible mesh/texture help. Once again, thanks in advance for any help.
