Making the bastard child of Ulfric Stormcloak.

Post » Tue Dec 10, 2013 8:55 pm

I've seen some people do it before. So I'm not going to be exactly original. I know.

Either way, I've been working on Leysa for some time but there are still some things that I want to think about, her surname, for one. So in the meanwhile, I wanted to make somebody refreshing. So I thought of this.

I had the idea of Ulfric's illegitimate daughter, possibly born in High Rock, with a Nordic mother living there, who may or may not have died, I'll think about that.

Either way, so I got my ideas.

Name: Not sure yet, but obviously the surname ''Stormcloak'' will appear in it. For that moment where she and Ulfric finds out. EDIT: Nevermind, decided to call her Tyra.

Age: Thinking about the time period, I'd say she's in her early 20's.

Build: The pure combat skills. No magic or poison.

-Blocking (Nordic Shield)

-One-handed (Nordic War Axe)

-Light armour (Stormcloak officer armour. Make your daddy proud with that pelt resting on your shoulders.)

-Smithing (Just to get to advanced armour for the weaponry, really.)

-I think archery aswell, but not as a sneaking thing. As a combat alternative for hunting and all that. Seems like typical Nord work to me. And I got plenty of perks left so I could easilly max my archery if I want to.

Dragonborn: Well I can't do the civil war without being Dragonborn so far I know. So yes.

Factions: Companions, Dawnguard and ofcourse the Stormcloaks.

I think it's not the build that will be interesting, I mean, the build is incredibly simple and straightforward. Just your pure warrior and huntress. But her roleplay will be. The thought of an illegitimate daughter finding her father, who ends up being a rebel leader. She looks up to the man and thus tries everything to please him. I think I can get along with that.

And for the appearance, I kind of studied the traits of Ulfric, which I then used for my character.

Ofcourse a child receives traits from the mother aswell, so I also took note on that.

So, ideas? They are much appreciated.

That sounds like alot of fun, I might even try something similar in the future.

How are you going to RP your first trip to The Palace of Kings? When will Ulfric find out that she is his daughter and how will it come about?

I think Tyra would join the Stormcloaks after the main quest. So maybe somewhere in that moment.

Ofcourse they also met eachother right at the beginning. That might make Ulfric a bit curious aswell.

You seem off to a great start so far.

I created a daughter of Ulfric Stormcloak and she knew he was her father. He raised her. Her mother was a breton however and not a nord. To her best knowledge her mother had died when she was young. It was the only story she knew and so she believed it. Turned out later it wasn't the case. She was a mage and turned out to become a powerful one. Was archmage for the CoW as well as Dragonborn. Slayed the World Eater Alduin and then persued and destroyed Miraak. The civil unrest in Skyrim also got her focus with the imperials fleeing when General Tullius was slain by her hand.

She later married her sweetheart Ralof and settled in Windhelm with one adopted kid Sofia.

I retired her after that.

I think though your story line keeps her from being to defined to be like her father. It should be interesting when she finds out... hopefully not after siding against him in the Civil War lol. But you seem to be on the right track. I like how your RP sounds.

Sounds like a good back story and a good role playing idea to me. Looks like you did well with the creation kit as well, I'm sure I can see a family resemblance there. I take it she fully shares her fathers views on the empire and hatred of the imperials. Will she have a stormcloak follower to help her in her adventure, and if so who do you have in mind?

So does she know that Ulfric is her dad when she goes to Skyrim?

Why does she go to Skyrim in the first place?

Well, I got no mods for a Stormcloak follower. So I'm not sure yet.

That's something I got to figure out then. I think it will be Ulfric who discovers it, not Tyra. Maybe after Tyra told Ulfric about her mother and all that.

She'll probably go to Skyrim because she is a Nord with a desire to go to her fatherland. Ofcourse, she gets arrested eventually and that's where it all starts.

Sounds good!

Finish her backstory and kick the Empire's [censored] out of Skyrim.

I hope my Stormcloak Olfrid will see you on the battlefield!

Mjoll the lioness seems to wear any headwear that I give her....so maybe a stormcloak helmet. Probably works on some of the other followers too, just a thought to help the roleplay along maybe.

I find it original, I might also try something similar. :)

By the way, it's been a long time since I played unmodded, but I'm pretty sure you can do the civil war quest without doing the main quest.

Nope. You have to do the MQ (at least saving Whiterun) to do the CW.

yup. this is correct.

I just ignore going to see the grey beards and accept that there are dragons in my game. I don't spend souls and avoid word walls.

Worth remembering that her father is a master of the shout, so if she has inherited the shout skills I assume she will have to do the main quest to fulfil her potential in this area.

I think being Dragonborn would fit her anyhow.

I think she'll just join the companions early in game,

Spoiler
Do the tomb raiding thing with Farkas.
Then do the main questline, and then finish the Companions questline.

That way it kind of looks like it has been some time since she joined so it won't feel so awkward.

I think I'll do the same with the Stormcloaks. Join them somewhere in the middle of the main questline, atleast before Season Unending.

Spoiler
Then take over Whiterun.
And then continue with the MQ.

Aah damn, that svcks. Sorry for being potentially misleading. :P

He's not even close to being a master, he spent years and years only to learn a shout or two. It's also not something you can inherit. But she'll be the Dragonborn so that fact is obsolete. :)

Season Undending would be cool to do with this RP.
